Wave your hands in the air & wave them like you just don't care if you missed me!
My name... oh it's simple... Sweet Dick Willie, but you can call me Dick for short (pun not intended)
Go ahead and try it out... I'll give you a sentence...

Everyone needs some ________________(my name) in their life!

So i've made it back home (sadly) after my swiss and coration adventure. rakija was interesting (certainly warms up your insides), and cevapi, i must say, was very very tasty. had it more than once.
didn't end up making too many trips out of dubrovnik, though we spent a day at the sunj beach on lupud (sp?), and ran out of time to go to Korcula, which i really wanted to do. mostly, partied at the place we rented in dubrovnik, which turned out to be amazing... patio and summer kitchen overlooking the sea (from, sadly, 112 steps up from the street...that was a lot of stairclimbing every day).
Cavtat was gorgeous as well. the weather was great every day, and the walls etc were pretty cool. some great history (even if it has become so touristy). spent one night partying at "eastwest". that was really funny. so many seriously hot women with only one purpose: find a rich man.
but dubrovnik in general...very enjoyable place, with sooooo many beautiful women, both local and of course tourists from everywhere else. easy to differentiate though... usually at least a 25cm hieght difference!
one thing that was also very interesting and pretty moving thing to see was the war photo exhibition they have there at some place called war photo ltd. made me realize just how terrible it was for many years in the nineties, that there's much more to the fabric of who croatians, serbs/bosnians are today than just sun soaked coastal folks, or inland farmers or whatever (mmm... cabbage)... to have survived through all that and continue to be a fun and thriving place is pretty amazing.
hard to believe that just a decade or so ago, that those things that i saw in the photos were an everyday reality in many parts of the region.
anyway, for the tips and transalations i say to you..Hvala! Hrvatska was a great time...

ha. so croatia (and Roko Ukic) killed Canada's hopes of getting into the Olympic basketball tournament... but on the other hand, Ancic was beaten by a local boy here in the Canadian open tennis tournament! of course now he has to go up against a Serb (djokovic). heheh. seems to be a lot of Canada/croatia battles lately. :P
thanks for the alphabet lesson. i forgot it's a different alphabet. At least i am now aware of how to say cheers, and to pronounce it correctly. thanks!
so what about "vodka and soda, please"
what is the integral phrase that i must know to get around? you tell me!
we're flying into and out of dubrovnik, rather than zagreb. but we are flying on sturdy ol' Croatian airlines...
you must be either already off on your holiday or getting ready to go.. have a great time. :)
