The only (somewhat) saving grace is the casting of two highly appealing actors in the leads -- ''McDreamy'' himself, Patrick Dempsey of ''Grey's Anatomy'' fame, and the attractive and thoroughly genuine Michelle Monaghan. Though forced to make do with one predictable scene after another, these two perform with charm -- and do their darnedest to sparkle plenty on the big screen. It's just a shame they were not given better material.

Dempsey and Monaghan -- and the rest of the cast, for that matter -- give it their all, but it just isn't enough to lift this formulaic nonsense out of the stew of mediocrity in which it merely simmers from start to finish. Source

When she got hitched in 2005, Michelle Monaghan asked her best friend, a guy, to serve as her man of honor.

He obliged and performed all the duties associated with the job, save for wearing a dress.

"He has been my best friend for 15 years. He's my oldest friend and my closest friend. I always thought to myself, 'Who would I choose?' And I thought, 'Let's just ask my best friend.' He was incredibly shocked and asked what he had to do. I just wanted him to stand by my side."

It is set for release on October 19, 2007 in the U.S. It was set for release in the UK on 28 December 2007, but its release has been suspended indefinitely due its similarities with the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.
