McGowan is known as an activist for Boston Terriers. She herself has two, Bug and Fester, and has personally donated to various Boston rescues. McGowan reportedly encouraged friends to donate to Boston Terrier Rescue Net, and according to BTRN: "Having fallen in love with Bug and Fester, her friends donated generously. It amounted to a considerable contribution, which will go a long way in helping BTRN and the needy volunteers who selflessly give to deserving Bostons."

McGowan and her friend Natasha Andres have recently started selling their own line of Pinken Mint purse caddies, which are hooks used to hang handbags from tables and chairs in restaurants as an alternative to resting them on possibly unclean floors. ATM fees increase at Wells Fargo
Charge for using non-Wells Fargo ATM rises to $2.50

For Wells Fargo customers, using other banks’ ATMs just got a bit more expensive.

Effective on Tuesday, the company raised its fee to $2.50 from $2 for using non-Wells Fargo ATMs. That’s twice the national average of $1.25, according to Bankrate.com.

Also, customers checking their account balances – though not withdrawing any money – on a non-Wells Fargo ATM must pay $1.50 in fees. Source

Gas prices hit another record
Prices at the pump climbed 5 cents over the past 2 weeks to reach an all-time high, survey finds.

Gas prices jumped more than 5 cents in the past two weeks, reaching an all-time inflation-adjusted record of $3.32 per gallon of self-serve regular, a national survey said Sunday.

Publisher Trilby Lundberg said the average price beats the previous, all-time record high of $3.26 per gallon for self-serve regular set by the last survey, released on March 21. CNNMoney
