In April 2007, Ricci became the national spokesperson for RAINN, the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network for the United States, which assists victims of these crimes and promotes programs that help prevent them from occurring. She cited some of her research in Black Snake Moan role as educational on the importance of the issues that RAINN deals with.

Ricci also has many tattoos: a lion on her right shoulder blade (a reference to The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, a favorite novel of hers as a child), a fairy on the inside of her right wrist, praying hands on her left hip (this tattoo was originally a bat), a bouquet of sweetpeas on her lower back, the words "Move or Bleed" on the left side of her ribcage, the name "Jack" on her right thigh for a dead pet, a sparrow on her right breast, and a mermaid on her left ankle. RICCI WANTS TO BE A FAMILY FILM STAR

Actress CHRISTINA RICCI wants to dedicate her career to making family films because she's sick of sex, drugs and sleaze on screen.
The star appears in new family-oriented race-car movie Speed Racer, and loved the experience so much she is pushing for more clean-cut roles - and she wants the rest of Hollywood to follow suit.

Ricci, who has played sex-hungry tramps and nymphomaniacs on screen, says, "I wanted to do a kids movie again. I wanted to do a family film. There are so many family movies for kids but they don't actually teach you anything.

"Speed Racer really stresses integrity and morals and a love of family, and that's something I think is really important and a trend we need to bring back." Source

No, Speed Racer, No
The Wachowski brothers aren’t playing with a full set of crayons.

Speed Racer has moments of bliss, which are, not coincidentally, its simplest. Little Spritle envisions himself and his monkey as martial-arts superheroes in a bit that conjures up the carefree color-splashes of kindergartners. Young Speed spies the adoring Trixie on the playground and flowers behind her head morph deliriously into hearts. This is truly a new world—one where filmmakers can layer images the way music producers layer voices and instruments. Spyro series to feature Hamill, Ricci

Elijah Wood returns to reprise his role as the titular character in Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon, with Gary Oldman also returning.

Speed Racer (Emile Hirsch) is a young man with natural racing instincts whose goal is to win The Crucible, a cross-country car racing rally that took the life of his older brother, Rex Racer (Scott Porter). Speed is loyal to the family business, run by his parents Pops (John Goodman) and Mom (Susan Sarandon). Pops designed Speed's car, the Mach 5. The owner of Royalton Industries (Roger Allam) makes Speed a lucrative offer, but Speed rejects the offer, angering the owner. Speed also uncovers a secret that top corporate interests, including Royalton, are fixing races and cheating to gain profit. With the offer to Speed denied, Royalton wants to ensure that Speed will not win races. Speed finds support from his parents and his girlfriend Trixie (Christina Ricci) and enters The Crucible in a partnership with his one-time rival, Racer X (Matthew Fox), seeking to rescue his family's business and the racing sport itself. Christina Ricci attacked by a chimpanzee

"The chimp jumped over and grabbed my left breast and hung off me," The Daily Telegraph quoted Ricci, as saying She added: "It happened in the middle of the first take on the first day of shooting it was painful." However in an attempt to "not upset the chimp any further" she did not budge and meekly cried "help, help, ouch."

Finally she caught the attention of the crew, who were facing the other direction and helped her, but tease her till date. "They thought it was hilarious and constantly reminded me the whole time we filmed," she said. Source
