Shawn Johnson Returns From The Olympics; Hits up Letterman!

As you guys know, we had heavy Olympics coverage here on the Bastardly & naturally, gymnastics was one of the heavy hitters. As member of the American gymnastics team, Shawn Johnson came up absolutely huge during the Olympics! She is the 2008 Olympic women's balance beam gold medalist & the individual all-around silver medalist, so many congrats to the 16-year old from Des Moines, Iowa. Many congrats to her.

Kevin Jonas has fueled rumors that he and his brothers Nick Jonas and Joe Jonas are behind the feud between Disney stars Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato. The feud rumors were first sparked when Cyrus, who stars on Disney’s ‘Hannah Montana,’ made fun of Gomez and Lovato in a YouTube video. The magazine's mole says that the youngest Jonas Brother is besotted with the Disney starlet.

"They have inside jokes and write sexy little things - he's totally in love," the source says.

Gomez was part of a controversy in July 2008 surrounding an alleged feud between Miley Cyrus and Gomez. After Gomez and Lovato posting a video on YouTube, Cyrus uploaded a blatant spoof as part of the "Miley & Mandy" show, which caught the interest of entertainment media. Reports included the theory that Cyrus and Gomez were arguing over fellow Disney star Nick Jonas,[3] or that Gomez and Lovato might replace Cyrus after Cyrus' Vanity Fair photo shoot.[4]

In the end, Gomez and Cyrus tried to extinguish the feud. Cyrus claimed, in an interview, "I mean if we offended (Gomez and Lovato), we're super sorry, but we were, like, just having fun."[4] Gomez, along similar lines, said, "Dealing with the press is something that you've gotta start getting used to, and you know people want something to talk about, so they're going to have the two Disney girls — or three Disney girls — kind of feuding."[5] On the issue of replacing Cyrus, Gomez clarified, "I'm not interested in being anybody but myself, and I'm not here to replace anyone.
