Angelina Sneaks In to Honor Icon Eastwood

The mutual admiration society was in full force Monday night as Angelina Jolie made an unexpected appearance at the 12th Annual Hollywood Film Festival Awards Gala to honor her Changeling director, Clint Eastwood.

"There are some people in this business who are icons, and we often wonder if, when we meet them, they'll live up to what we imagine them to be," Jolie said from the stage upon her surprise arrival.

"And Clint Eastwood in person is better," she said, adding, "Clint is what every great director should be. He is a great leader, and I certainly would follow him anywhere." [E! Online]

Changeling director, Clint Eastwood, says Angelina Jolie "is an actress hampered by her gorgeous face, I think the most beautiful face on the planet."

"People sometimes can't see past that, to her talent. She's on all these magazine covers, so it's easy to overlook what an amazing actress is underneath," he added.

Eastwood, 78, compares the mother of six children to Meryl Streep.

"Actors know, with me they aren't going to be allowed to rehearse a scene for a couple of hours and then get away with doing 25 takes before we get it right. So they come with their full bag of tricks," Eastwood said. "Angelina is a lot like Meryl Streep in that respect." Source

So, did you hear about Angelina Jolie's pre-delivery press conference? How fucking full of yourself do you have to be in order to set one of those up? I still love Angelina, but kinda disappointed at the bullshit that's helped to inflate her head beyond measure.

Just in case you're living under a rock, here are the details:

Are the Brangelina twins boys or girls? Will they be delivered naturally or by Caesarean?

Angelina Jolie's obstetrician, Michel Sussmann, declined to answer several burning questions about the highly anticipated birth to Hollywood's hottest couple, but he did make one thing clear during a five-minute news conference Wednesday: "She is a patient like any other. And she's very simple. I have a lot of respect for her."

Apparently unaware that the stars are unmarried, the doctor said: "Mrs. Angelina Jolie and her husband, Mr. Brad Pitt, told me to tell you that she is doing absolutely fine."

He said her hospitalization "was scheduled for a long time."

"This is not an emergency situation," he added. "Her hospitalization at this stage in her pregnancy is totally normal for a patient who had a Caesarean (section) during her first pregnancy."

Her stay at the seaside hospital here could be a relatively long one. The doctor said she would remain in the hospital until the babies are delivered and that could be "in the weeks to come."

Angelina Jolie is going through a "high school phase" by dating Brad Pitt, her ex-husband Billy Bob Thornton has claimed. The actor-and-singer has mocked Angelina's relationship with Brad, insisting his ex-wife will soon "wake up" and leave him.

Billy Bob said: "She is just going through a high school phase. You know dating the quarterback of the football team with Brad Pitt over there. She'll be waking up from that dream in no time." He added at the launch of his new album with The Boxmasters: "Who knows if I'll be there when she's ready to come to her senses though."
