I just doesn't understand why everyone wants to hate her so much. Sure, she's a little bit crazy and sure she's a little bit into herself, but that describes most celebrities. She got where she is by having a voice that's unmatched in the music industry, and whether you like her music or not (I don't particularly myself, so don't bother thinking I'm just a biased fan) it must be generally understood that she has a reason for being successful. Compare her to much more hateable characters like the nearly unmentionable Paris Hilton or her less important and reasonably decrepit counterpart Nicole Richie, or that desperate hanger-on wannabe Kimberly Stewart. All of these braindead wastes of space have somehow gotten tons of media attention by being untalented, unattractive, unintelligent, and oh yes - absolutely filthy skanks. And you tear Mariah apart? Have you heard Paris try to sing? When is the last time Nicole Richie ate? The reason that she is all messed up starving herself is because people see pictures of a woman like Mariah like these and call her fat. You want to see someone who has really let herself go? Look at Janet Jackson.
