Cynthia Ellen Nixon (born April 9, 1966) is an American Tony and Emmy Award-winning actress who is best known for her portrayal of lawyer Miranda Hobbes in the popular HBO comedy-drama Sex and the City (1998-2004).
In an interview with Good Morning America that aired on April 15, 2008, Cynthia Nixon announced for the first time that she battled breast cancer, after being diagnosed during a routine mammogram in October, 2006.[9] In 2008, she became an Ambassador for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Wiki
