Panettiere, to Be Honored for Anti Whale Hunting Stance
The 18-year-old will collect The Wyler Award for her efforts joining protestors off the Japanese coast late last year (07) in a bid to prevent fishermen from bludgeoning sea-life. Panettiere was caught on camera sobbing about the deaths of whales she had desperately tried to save, while defending herself from angry fishermen's harpoons. Source
She was on Larry King to encourage people to get involved in the voting process. Pretty funny, since she just turned 18 and has not had the chance to vote yet. I guess they call that irony.
