just because some people who read harry potter also read so-called scholarly books doesnt mean that reading harry potter isnt a drag on society. that argument itself is an ignoratio enechi or whatever you said. harry potter are childrens books. when millions of adults read them and make it acceptable to do so it contributes to the dumbing down of america. then again your belief that edification and knowledge are somehow inherently good is still unproven so who cares whether america and the rest of the world is dumb. you read your nietzsche but you are yet to grasp it. but thats okay. that takes experience and youre young and idealistic and will eventually learn different truths (tho no less true that the ones you believe now). and yes i am psychic.
