Phred- first you need to realize that we only do anything but for the sake of it, tralala's post, ryatt's comment, your reply, and even my reply now, we do it for nothing more than the sake of saying it, for the sake of speaking, for the sake of contributing. it's the way we belive to be useful and needed, speaking for the sake of being heard, nothing more. words carry only the meaning that we give them, and because we are "individuals" we all take those words in different light. tralala's comment was an opinion, nothing more, ryatt's comment was just the same, you took it as a statement of wanting, one, the other or both wanting to be (look) more like adriana, so what if they do, so what if they don't. their choice to say, do what they like, they have to live with it, as do we all.
the next thing that you need to relize is that when anyone passes judgment on anyone else there is some form of jealousy taking place, be it what they say, do, wear, practice, infer, denote, lead to, or simply for the fact that they can say what they want. as you so say yourself females are more critcal of other females, this is a choice, your choice to do so, you can rip her apart, or rise her up high, but there is another option available to you, you can walk by her. you choose to critque her, people, media, society may tell you that you have to, but you still choose to do so. you criticize because you are evaluating her, compareing her to yourself, figuring out what you have over her, and what she has over you. this is a jealous decision, if it wasn't you would not give her even a first thought let alone a second. if you say that she is ugly, than you belive yourself to be more beautiful than her, maybe not consciously, but that is what your ego is thinking, "In fact I feel kinda violated". when you say that you immediately hate any girl that even "slightly" resembles you, this is a jealous thought, you are angry (manifestation of jealously) that their is anyone else out there like you. but no matter how much someone looks or even acts like you, they cannot be you, they do not have your thoughts, they do not dreams, they do not have nightmares, only YOU do. and if you think any different than that is because you are choosing to do so.
you say that women are naturally critcal of other women, "It's what we do." it's what you belive you must do, that is the only reason why you say it.
males "in general" do not notice as much detail, maybe so, but that's your choice to generalizing the male species, as was mentioned we are individuals, unique unto ourselves, therefore why impose generalities, default settings and standard operating proceedures. if that is all we (men and women) are viewed as than it's not difficult to see why we think the way we think, judge the way we judge, why we treat eachother in the manner that we do. instead try to take everyone for what they truly are, themselves, and maybe you will see past what we want others to see and actually see the person you are looking at, and maybe we can stop judging everyone and everthing that we come in to contact with, and just walk on by. as you can see a have a well defined sense of capturing detail, that and a penis.
oh and JoeMama, you kong donkey, not every free thinking women is a lesbian. stop saying things just because you have lips, a tongue, and a voice box.
