"You've made d55 look like a complete idiot".
I can assure you that wasn't my intent. She's been accomplishing that feat, single-handedly, for some time now (despite demonstrating only a rudimentary command of written language).
39's comments tend to reinforce what I've suspected from the start: d55 is little more than an insecure troll. The history of the internet teaches that trolls are best left ignored. (Although, I suspect, when she returns from classes, she'll make a sophomoric and insipid attempt to vindicate herself). It will be tempting to chastise her further, but ignore her I shall.
In the likely event she hasn't really learned anything, I'll say this:
Casting hateful comments at people who have chosen to live in the public eye isn't exactly socially acceptable, but is not generally considered a severe transgression. It's the very intent of this blog, after all.
Personal attacks upon ordinary people (especially specific individuals I wouldn't want to ever see harmed), I simply can't abide.
In the absence of a public apology, a display of sincere regret, and a subsequent modification in future behavior, I find no logical reason to grant any degree of civility toward the aggressor.
I conclude my participation in this matter. Carry on, bastards!
