Maybe, just maybe she adopts children from third world countries because it's a billion times worse to be an orphan from Cambodia/Vietnam/etc than an orphan in the US. And, the professionals don't seem to be getting much done (note: FEMA, Darfur) so it's ok if she wants to play Mother Theresa. At least she's taking some sort of action, which is more than most people can claim.
