Usually in California for a second DUI you are slapped with:

- 90 days to one year in prison
- a monetary fine of about $5.000,00
- 100 days of community work
- 18 months of drivers license suspension
- 3 to 5 years of driving with a restricted license

And this only when you did not get into an accident, did not resist arrest and did not drive the opposite direction on a highway.

Classic George Orwell quote. The fine is nothing but chump change, the community service can be nothing more than a few autograph shows or show your face at a fundraiser or two, and probation is a joke. The only thing that would hit home is some jail time....and not just 4 days.

#14, BigPapi: Yeah, I know that scare tactics are the way the U.S. of A. are being run. Yet I got to know five people doing time for their second DUI, getting pretty much the punishment that I mentioned above. One of them being a woman, six months pregnant, and only being released from jail for giving birth.

So a four-day sentence means she's going to be out of jail after 8 hours?
