Am I the only person here that thinks that Tom wasn't trying to insinuate that Canadians are idiots in his comment @ #2? I think he was just commenting on the photo caption. When he said, "How could anyone fall for this even if they're Canadian?" I assumed he was referring to the level of news coverage about Paris' incarceration and not the level of intelligence of the average Canadian? I think the comment about the war was meant to show the comparison between the level of news coverage on Paris vs. the war.... which really points out the absurdity of the news coverage on Paris.

Perhaps I'm giving too much credit to Tom's intelligence. But I'm giving Canadians the same credit, which might be a mistake considering you're not aware that the majority of Americans are actually opposed to the war and to Bush.
