If you're wondering what Berlinale is, just think of the Sundance Festival renamed to Berlinale & moved to Berlin, Germany. Here's a little tidbit about the event from their profiles page:

At that time I was doing But Can They Sing, of course I'm getting popular because of VH1 and so they tell me everyone is emailing you, calling you, because they really like you on the show. Finally I get home and I receive so many emails saying, “Congratulations Bai Ling” from all over the world; Asia, London, Europe, Germany, etc. I think “Wow this show is really popular” but then I realize, no, this show isn't in Asia. I email back my friend in Asia and say, congratulations for what, and she says I heard you're going to get married. I said, “Who told you that” because thank you for the news that I'm going to get married. I didn't know. That's how I heard about it. I don't know where it came from. It just surprised me.
