Back in the day when I should have gone to college I decided to party instead, and party hard I did. Was in a cocaine haze for a bit. One day I decided that I was tired of living my life that way and quit, everything, mary jane, booze, coke all of it went. It wasn't easy, it didn't happen overnight, I regressed a few times, but I finally did it.
Got my lazy ass into college, finished a bachelors degree and am now in a cushy office job(fucking off at The Bastardly) instead of slaving away in a kitchen or at the local grocer.
It can be done.

What Lily is saying is that all rehabs should be shut down because them fucking useless druggies will never contribute to society. BULLSHIT! Even my wife hadda do a stint in rehab to beat the alcohol demon, now shes a great mom. We do enjoy a drink every now and then and a big ol' J if we can get our hands on it. But we're in control of our lives now.

I have seen some friends overindulge, but I guess it's like many things, you have to know when enough is enough.

i have several friends that occasionally do coke. it's not that bad of a drug if you're a person who can handle it. there are certain people who are behaviorally or genetically prone to addiction and it can be a problem for them. but honestly, indulging in some weed or coke is relatively akin to alcohol. some people might be outraged by that idea but it's a reality for casual users.

yes. it's not as horrific as people make it seem. using it enough that you start to show the effects in your looks, however, is when you are taking it too far.

I've seen friends lose their jobs,homes & marriage over drugs, one died. Theres a fine line to being an "occasional" user & being an addict. Coke,crack,meth,oxys & H will a fuck you till everything & everybody in your life is gone. Try not to cross the line, or better yet spend your money on your kids.

Three brothers, the oldest died when his heart exploded from snorting/smoking too much yayo one night. After that the youngest got hooked on smoking crack, even went to my parent's house one night (after I had already moved out) spinning a yarn about how he needed money for gas cause his car broke down, he was scamming my parent's of course and the worst part is we were friends. The middle brother got a good job as a correctional officer, then started selling drugs to the inmates, got caught then became one of them.

Fucking shame man, but I still feel herb in moderation is better than drinking, WAY BETTER.

When people have a habit they need to feed they lie, steal, or rob anyone, mother, sister brother friend whoever they can get it from. Weed I don't consider on the same level with those other fucked up drugs, unless you get a couple of stoners holding up a GhandiMart for ring-dings & yoo-hoo.

OK, there is no such thing as recreational drug use, that is the dumbest shit I have ever heard. Either you use drugs or you don't, plain and simple. Yes, people who do drugs are lost causes, they are the only ones who can stop the spiral in to the hole they are digging for themselves, no one else can stop it for them. My first boyfriend's mother died from breast cancer, and he dealt with the pain of loss by doing coke, meth, popping pills, drinking, anything to get it off his mind. He smoked crack one night and plowed his car in to a brick wall, dying instantly. His thoughtless attempt at coping caused all those who cared about him to suffer, and it was an unfortunate, yet very lucky, chance that no one else was in the car with him and no innocent bystanders were near enough to be injured by the crash.
This woman is the epitomy of apathy towards children, because her very young, innocent, precious daughter will always know that "Mummy does coke, but only for fun once in a while"...... damn excuses to avoid finally accepting blame.... I wonder if Kate wants her daughter to do the same later in life, or if she even cares, for that matter.

I had a friend who was working part time at a Cost Cutters in the early 90s. He sold an 8th of herb to a fellow worker. She asked if he could get more, he said yes so she sent a couple guys to his house. They asked for a 1/4 pound, he threw down 4 ounces on the table they threw down their badges. He needed money for a lawyer, so while he was out on bail he tried to move some more herb, got pulled over and got caught with another 4 ounces on him.

He got six years since his parent's house was in a school zone.
