as such they have decades of violent agressive genes bred into them
now that isn't to say that that owners aren't culpable in attacks
because they are
or that there are not "good" pit bulls out there.
but to say that the breed as a whole is not more agressive than other breeds

Am I totally wrong about pitts that about 50-60 years ago (or whatever.. long anyway) they didn't have as bad reputation like they have now. And in pictures that i've seen they were somewhat smaller and not as muscular like today.

Pittbull or not he is a friggin poor excuse for a father. When they divorce he will get away with a nice amount of cash, she will take custody of the kids so he will be relieved of that duty (just like his previous impregnations), and he won't have to work another day in his life. How does that sit with all the other people like me that work for a living? K-Fed, like so many others do not deserve a work free life.

Actually pit bulls were never bread to be agressive or to be fighting dogs. They were originally bred to be a versital use family dog. It was suppose to be a working, sporting and family dog all in one. It was that way until some people decided that hey they have stronger than average jaws, gee lets turn them into fighting dogs. Pit bulls normally make great family dogs and they love kids. Infact kids are normally there favorite thing, seems they tend to be very energetic and love toys. There is bad breading and bad owners out there that have ruined it for the whole breed and I wouldn't doubt that kfed is one of them. But anyways people need to blame the owners and breeders not the breed of dogs. They are great dogs that got a bad rep. You are more likely to get attacked by a german sheppard if you look up the statistics, but you don't see people making a stink about them.

Considering the size of this dog, and the size of Brit's bank account, he probably bought one properly trained...HOPEFULLY. Besides, in most states you need a permit to own them and sometimes are required a certain amount of training time with them per month.

We have a pit bull in our neighborhood and she's a big ol' baby who wouldn't hurt a fly unless provoked, whereas my 20 pound shih-tzu could bite your hands up badly if you tried to pick him up (he HATES being picked up!)

What's weird is he lives in CA, and they're trying to BAN the breed because some assholes can't raise them properly and give the responsible owners a bad name.

But yes, getting a pit-bull is a dumbshit thing to do when you already have children's services on your ass as it is.

The american pit bull terrier was bred for bull baiting and to battle other dogs in the pits and to be a working dog. THese are animal aggresive traits folks NOT human aggresive. They are two totally different things JOHN and others dont seem to know what they are talking about. There were very few pit bulls that were aggresive and not culled or killed in the past. THey need the most human friendly dogs in a dog fight so as the handler and reffere can handle the dogs without getting bit when the action is on. While it's true pitbulls were bred to fight, they were bred to fight OTHER DOGS not humans. A pit that was aggressive toward it's handler would be put down and most certainly not bred. Pitbulls have less aggression toward humans than beagles.

First off, Pit bulls are wonderful family pets and are fantastic with children. However, I hope, but am not confident, that K-Fed and Brit will teach this dog discipline, give it plenty of exercise, and love. Otherwise, they just might add to the already negative image of the American Pit Bull Terrier. Responsible pit owners own loving dogs that don't attack anyone, especially not children, just so you know, pit haters.

This is a ridiculous claim. Pit bulls are WONDERFUL with kids. Unless of course their owners abuse them, which no dog should ever be abused! But sadly since many people abuse and fight pit bulls they have developed a bad repuation. Personally, I own a wonderful pit bull who loves everyone, even the smallest little kids. The most harm she could do is give kisses til you're wet all over with dog slobber. Pit bulls, when properly cared for and trained and one of the most loving, loyal, gentle dogs ever. I would trust my (future) kids around a room full of pit bulls before any other breed. I was bitten by my aun't jack russel terrier... And I've seen many other breeds bite, never seen a pit bite!

I think you guys are missing the point COMPLETLY. APBT's (American Pit Bull Terriers) are not naturally human agressive. They have high prey drive, and are animal agressive. To say that this child is danger from the dog is absurd. Those children have nothing to fear from the dog, it's those idiotic parents that are the problem!

I hope CPS send Brit and K-Fed to jail, and let the "pit bull" raise the children, they would be better off that way!
