No, no her younger sister (I believe her name was Chrissy) died from an inhaler overdose back in the mid 90’s. Apparently if you use an asthma inhaler it will speed up your metabolism though this is highly dangerous. It was a popular use for weight control for some models; however, I do not know if that was the reason why she used it. Anyway, Nikki’s sister was under 18, young, beautiful and she died tragically. As far as I know Nikki was last living in Atlanta with some investment banker and her kids from a previous relationship.

Niki is beautiful. I agree though about the tattoo, it's too much. She was engaged to Keith Urban a few years back, but called off the wedding at the last minute. She and Keith bought a house in Nashville, but never moved into it. She stayed in the house for a while, then sold it. She has a boutique now near Nashville and I believe is doing well after her many surgeries. Her and Keith shared the same tattoo around their wrists which was some kind of latin saying about "love". I notice that both her and Keith have now tattoo'd over it though.

Went to high school with her. She had tattoos back then -- just hidden. She did not have a twin. Her little sister died -- 'asthma.' Sweetest girls you'd ever meet. Down to earth -- no fuss, no muss.

I think it's awesome that she got those tattoos. Most women are afraid of what other people will think. If they get them they'll opt for something safe and girly. I hate that. Niki rocks.

if done right tattoos are sexy AND in this day & age it's becoming the norm in most societies (age is no longer a barrier either). still, nikki's tattoo IS a bit extreme. then again, she's no longer in the supermodel world (tattoos limit the work models can do) and is past her prime when it comes to modeling (modeling is generally for those in their teens to mid-twenties), has kids (many women "hit the wall" after having kids but she's still a gorgeous woman) and she's done more than any of us will EVER do so she can do whatever the hell she wants.

Hey Creed (#20,) she suffered a head injury in the accident among other things despite having part of a seat belt on - possible cognitive issues. What's your excuse, moron? I saw an interview of her some time after the accident and she seemed fairly well-spoken and poignant,... considering.

I actually saw Niki in person...even shook hands with her...two days ago. She was participating in the Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America. They had her riding a Triumph Rocket III (2300cc) motorcycle, and she was handling that big, bad thing without any problems whatsoever. As far as how she looked...she was gorgeous! I don't know about the photo above, but I thought she had one of the most beautiful smiles I've ever seen. Yes, she's not as young as when we remember her in the SI Swimsuit Editions of the 1990's-era. However, she still is a very beautiful lady. The one thing that I will never forget is how personable and friendly she was. We talked a quite a few minutes during one of their pit stops for gasoline. I've met other "celebrities", and Niki has to rank at the top as to how engaging and intersting she was while we talked. Niki Taylor is an amazing woman who has gone through a lot in a short time. She started working at 12 or 13, was married and pregnant with twins by 19, separated from her husband at the same time that she found her sister dead in her parents house of a rare heart condition, divorced only a short time later, raised two boys on her own (I have two small sons and this is no easy task) and then recently was in a car accident that cut her liver in half and severed her spine. Her family was told to let go of her at least twice-she had less than a 10% chance to live. Today, her spine is held together with pins. To this day she is a legend in the fashion industry. I used to work in that business, and Niki was a record breaking star. Everybody I ever did business with, no matter who they counted as close friends were starstruck with Niki Taylor, more than any of the other girls. She had the most covers in one month (6) and and was the youngest model on the cover of Vogue. Cut her some slack. Anyone with anything negative to say should really think about what makes them so unhappy with themselves that they need to project with ugly comments on another person.

I saw Niki today and got to talk with her a bit in conjunction with the Kyle Petty charity ride. She was with her buddy Robin from Nashville and riding one of the new $20K Polaris Victory motorcycles. She was very personable. Good to meet folks that have not let fame go to their heads.
