Anyway CBS did an excellent story on how SNL is put together. I just checked it on my tivo right now. Asslee thing is waaay overblown, but it's funny to see how everyone hates her for no particular reason---actually the only reason being b/c she's Jessica simpson's sister. She's probably a real nice girl too, man.

Yeah, I just watched the 60 Minutes. I guess they were just doing a story anyway and they happened to catch ashlee-gate '04. It was a cool story on SNL, though. I'd like to see more about it. It does suck for ashlee that she's compared to her super-famous sister and then this happens. Too bad she got caught in the actual act of lip-synching. Can't deny that. People will get over it, though.

I saw the whole thing happen, live. After a "Sucktacular" episode, with unfunny sketches, and a unfunny "Weekend Update", that finally happened. Well, I get the feeling maybe her Dad pushed her into this whole thing, and it finally blew up in her face. Well, I think she's cute, but I'm not into the "angst" pop-"Punk Rawk" thing. Really, I want to thank her for salvaging an otherwise-unwatchable episode of SNL. If I were her, I would have done the "Cotton-eyed Joe" dance of doom for the whole song, without "singing", and maybe some MC-hammer moves, and some John Travolta finger-in-the air moves. Ashlee, just get a sense of humor about it. This isn't Milli Vanilli, after all.

I never thought of her as punk either. She is more Tween Pop music just like her sister. I don't know about her look though. I mean, I know it's bad but is she trying to be goth or punk or what? Most of the tween girls try the squeaky cutesy look like Jessica has. Ass's look doesn't go with her music at all.

speak for yourself samantha! I was shocked, flabbergasted and bewildered by ashlee Simpson's lyp-synching; I've never felt more betrayed in my life. I really enjoyed ashlee's music, it soothed a lot of my inner pain(the way Debbie Gibson used to), and made me feel hope for a better tomorrow. Knowing that ashlee would do this to our country is just horrible; she's really not the person that I thought she was. Ashlee has really done a lot of damage to the popular music industry and has brought into question the morals and integrity of even positive role models like R Kelly and Christina Aguilera.
I still like Hillary Duff, but her music is a little more intellectual then what I usually listen to.
