One word ... IDIOT!

This will be my review of Fahrenheit 9/11.

Now, if you know me, I'm not much of a political person. I have dabbled here and there in volunteering for Clinton's first term but yes ... as a yound adult I have yet to vote. Now many of you can yell and scream at me for doing my country a disjustice by not voting ... but I have always felt very uninformed about things so I figured I would be doing more wrong than good.

Now in the light of our last election in the year 2000. My mind has definitely changed. Many times I've thought to myself, when the "Idiot" was elected, seriously, our country is going to change. And, by golly gee, it sure did. I remember thinking to myself, "maybe i should move to Thailand and live a Bush free life" but of course, here I am four years later, living in this country who has become the international bully, pushing all the other "less" important countries around for milk money.

Sounds awesome, man. I tried to check it out last night, but no luck. Possibly this evening or this weekend when the crowd dies down a little. I watch very little TV, so hopefully no other opinions will creep in to my head before I have a chance to interpret the movie for myself.

I just read a review @ WSJ on the 'The Corporation'
I would check it out if they had an indy theater in a 30 mile radius.
anyway, I stole the review, courtesy of WSJ's JOE MORGENSTERN

'The Corporation'

"The Corporation" takes aim against its target, the institution of the modern corporation, with the intensity and imprecision of a flamethrower. Like "Fahrenheit 9/11," this Canadian documentary, by Mark Achbar, Jennifer Abbott and Joel Bakan, was conceived as an incendiary device, and it enlists Michael Moore, among scores of others, in support of its thesis that the corporation, as the dominant institution of our time, is the source of many, if not most, evils that afflict our time. It's unlikely that "The Corporation" will have the phenomenal impact of "Fahrenheit 9/11," which, to an extent unprecedented in the history of documentary filmmaking, has become part of the public debate about electing a new president. But it's a powerful polemic in its own right, despite some maddeningly glib generalizations, a documentary that functions as a 2½-hour provocation in the ongoing debate about corporate conduct and governance.

The film was based on Mr. Bakan's book "The Corporation: The Pathological Pursuit of Profit and Power," and it wears its convictions on its sleeve. Corporations, the documentary contends, are not merely insatiable and unprincipled, but, in effect, crazy. "If the dominant institution of our time has been created in the image of a psychopath," asks an off-screen voice, "who bears the moral responsibility for its actions?"

"The Corporation" will drive some filmgoers crazy, but it has cogent things to say about the intrusion of advertising into the most private areas of our lives. One witty segment is devoted to the Nag Factor, a marketing strategy designed to incite little kids to nag their parents to buy products. That may not be psychopathological, but it's close to diabolical.
