Who's More Desperate? Paris Hilton or Benji Madden?

Both sets of pics were snapped in London earlier today.
So yeah, what's the motivation behind this relationship? Benji Madden can hit many other hotties on the basis that he's rich & somewhat famous, so why's he risking the health of his goods and diving into a skanky ho who's known to have slept with half of Hollywood? What the fuck?
And as for Paris, she used to be the chick who'd steal the hearts of billionaire heirs---not Benji Madden. Something is simply not clicking w/ these two & you guys need to cook up some Bastardly Theories behind this shady relationship.
