$4-plus gas: Get used to itGas prices will likely hover around $4 a gallon through next year, as oil prices continue to float above $100 before moderating in 2010, Guy Caruso, administrator of the Energy Information Administration, told a House hearing.
Crude oil prices will likely average $126 a barrel in 2009, up $4 from this year, amid strong global demand, tight supplies and instability in oil-producing countries, Caruso said.
Gasoline should peak at $4.15 in August, then fall just slightly, he said. Source
