Who's running this freak show?

The answer, for now at least, seems to be Peter and Nathan's father, who doesn't offer much other than a new character to fear now (and probably love later). We will find out more in Monday night's episode, but whatever we discover is unlikely to lead to any conclusion or closure. Instead, we will probably find peripheral and major characters circling in a ratings death spiral built of lowered expectations and limited ambition.

These are the major criticisms of Heroes. The show's producers are still doing much to right the ship: Stretching out the superpower thesis by giving them to everyone; killing off characters left and right; showing, not telling, what happens when those superpowers cannot be controlled; and eradicating the hapless cheerleader and replacing her with a conflicted renegade.
