I was in the Boston hardcore punk scene in the mid 90's....so I know what you're talking about. I had dreds and a face full of metal and a horrible attitude to go with it.

And my husband is an original 80's NYHC kid. He still keeps in touch with a couple of the guys from a few of those bands.

If you are serious about the 80's stuff....Ask if he knows Razzle from the Suicide Sisters....We use hang with squatters on the lower east side 89/90....Fortunately I stayed in school and moved on.
In any event Razzle and I grew up together and even played in a few bands together. Raz is still totally punk.....I of course am not....But I think we all keep that inner rebel inside of us...No matter what we do.

Hey Glim....I remember once tripping on acid once...Standing across the street from Washington Square park and panhandling for change....And I swear to this day....A large group of motorcycles with guys with christmas tree lit sombroes road up St Marks Place.....Weirdest night of my life. I remember the cops told these poor punks to go home....and they are like...."This is our home." It was a sad but incredible night.
Ended with the fireworks they set off in celebration of the end of the first gulf war.....or at least I thought there were fire works....
